Résumé

In celebration of the Ontario Agricultural College’s (OAC) 150th anniversary in 2024, a collection of alumni interviews has been compiled to capture the rich history and vibrant student experiences at Canada’s most prestigious agricultural college. Led by Dr. Catherine Carstairs, a faculty member in the Department of History at the University of Guelph, this project aims to establish a comprehensive archive reflecting the diverse and unique journeys of OAC students.

Conducted by students enrolled in Hist*1050: Invitation to History, these interviews provide a valuable glimpse into the lives of alumni who attended OAC through seven different decades. As part of the 150th anniversary celebrations, these testimonials honor the past while paving the way for understanding and appreciating the legacy that has shaped the University of Guelph and OAC.

Visitors can explore the voices of past OAC students as they share their memories, challenges, and triumphs, contributing to a historical record that will serve as an essential resource for future generations.
