Bent Box is the first collection of poetry by Lee Maracle. The poems, written over the

LEE MARACLE was one of the first Aboriginal people to
be published in the early rg70s. She has since become the most
prolific Aboriginal author in Canada and a recognized authority
on issues pertaining to Aboriginal people and Aboriginal litera-
ture. She presenty resides in Barrie, Ontario, where she works
at the Barric Native Friendship Centre and teaches sessional
courses at the University of Toronto.
