While in England in 1852 and 1853 Kallihirua "helped Captain John Washington to revise his Eskimaux and English vocabulary, for the use of the Arctic expeditions (London, 1850)" (entry for Kallihirua, Dictionary of Canadian Biography). A 2nd ed published 1853 as Greenland-Eskimo Vocabulary for the Use of the Arctic Expeditions; see skeptical article by Peter Martin, and reviews of same.
