“Bent Box, Maracle’s latest book, is a collection of 68 poems that reveals a woman awake
in observation, one who has a penetrating love of the culture she was born into. Maracle
writes with a bare essence, using strong emotion and few words to leave a vibration of
feeling rather than obvious images.”
